The Only Situation Where You Get To Call 911…On the Police!

Have any of you ever played any Grad Theft Auto games? If you have then you would know that if you were getting chased by police then you should keep driving as fast as you can and don’t look back. Does that translate well in real life? For the most part, not really.

However, if you are driving late at night on an empty Mississippi highway that could actually be your best option. Last week there have been two very eerie murders on Mississippi highways that have resulted in two separate murders.

Both cases involve cars pulled over to the side of the road and the driving being shot to death along an unlit, deserted highway late at night. The two victims have no relation and so far the murders seem random. The most chilling theory in these two murders is the theory that the assailant is driving a police cruiser posing as a police officer. The victims would see the flashing lights and believing the car to be a real police officer, they would pull over wondering what they did wrong and probably expecting just a ticket and a fine… Instead they got a bullet in the head.

Authorities in Mississippi are now telling the public to call 911 when a police cruiser wants you to pull over, as you are pulling over call 911 on the police to confirm that the cruiser that’s behind you is actually the police! They are also advising to only pull over in well lit and populated areas.

The fact that people pull over so easily shows how much trust we have in the police and how scary it is when that trust is used for crime…

Travon Martin Case: Zimmerman Faces 2nd-Degree Murder Charge

George Zimmerman is a volunteer for a Neighbourhood Watch program. Now he is charged with a second-degree murder for the death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teenager. Trayvon Martin’s death has caused awareness and frustration all over the internet.

George stated that his actions were purely based on self-defence. Yet he has been hiding ever since the incident and has received  a variety of death threats.

Trayvon Martin was 17 at the time of his death(February 26,2012). He was returning from a convenience store, while George Zimmerman was on his way to the supermarket. When his eyes laid on Trayvon Martin. George, he called the police department and reported that he noticed  “a young black male acting suspiciously, possibly on drugs”.

The police dispatcher told George not to follow Trayvon Martin. However,  Zimmerman did the complete opposite and got out of his car, carrying a 9millimeter weapon.

According to George Zimmerman, he only shot Trayvon Martin in self-defence after Trayvon struck him in the face. Apparently Zimmerman believes pounding a boy’s head on the ground repeatedly was an act of self defence.

George Zimmerman is now arrested. We will not know how the court hearings will go until there are more information available.

Would Zimmerman call a cop if he saw a white guy or just non-black guy running?  If not, why would someone call the cop on a black guy just because he was running?

Laws to prevent drunk driving not tough enough?

A recent study with 3300 people whom had been caught for drunk driving, and resulted in 57% of them convicting the violations again at least within 5 years of time span.

It indicated that our current law system against drunk driver are not strict enough to prevent offenders.

I believe for most of us, we have seen police implementing a lot of effort into catching drunk driver, but now it seems like we might have even stricter laws in the soon future.

Comparing to years earlier, the minimum fine for a first drunk driving offender was $600, but now it is $1000,
In contrast for a second offender, the minimum fine was 14 days of jail time, and now it is 30 days of jail time.

[This is going insane, I am already seeing roadblocks and tons of cop cars on the streets in weekends, what are they going to do next??]
