Five Friends Take The Same Photo For 30 Years.

In 1982, five teenagers took a picture, without realizing how it had became a tradition amongst themselves. For 3 decades, John Wardlaw, John Dickson, Mark Rumer, Dallas Burney and John Molony, have been meeting up to take the same photo for every 5 years.

The first photo was taken when they were in high school.  They were hanging out in the deck of a cabin near a lake, and John Dickson set this camera on self timer to take the group photo for the first time. ”For some reason, we all chose to have dark and mysterious expressions on our faces,” said Wardlaw. “I’m sure we all thought we were being really cool.”

Five years later, John Wardlaw, decided that it would be fun to recreate the photograph they had taken in 1982, which is how the tradition sort of started. So, in 1987, they went back to the same position, sat on the same bench, and with a self timed camera again. They even had the same expressions too! John Wardlaw, “I think I had a feeling this might become some cool tradition, but I had no idea we would still be doing it for 30 years,”

Physical Inactivity Killing More than 5 Million Annually.

Recently, the British Medical Journal had published a series of studies on the health consequences of physical inactivity. The results were shocking. According to the study, it shows that physical inactivity is responsible for up to 10 percent of the “burden of disease”, leading to a variety of health issues.

Unexpectedly, it is now the fourth-leading cause of death globally. How many people die of it every year? 5.3 million. It nearly accounts for one in 10 deaths! To put it in perspective,  it is even more than the number of deaths from smoking!

To narrow it down, when we talk about physical inactivity, we meant as in, the specific act of sitting. For some of us, we sit for long periods of time on a typical day(work, eat, coffee breaks, televisions, and when we are using computers).

A daily 15-30 minute daily exercise would be substantially beneficial, especially if you are sitting 6-8hours at work, and another few more hours of sitting outside of work. In fact, studies show that the cumulative effects of sitting are not easily treatable by exercise.

In 2010, a study consisting more than 100,000 adults, found that those who sat for more 6 hours/day would still be more likely to die than those who sat less than 3 hours, even if the group of adults who sat for 6hours/day exercise regularly.

It is said that, physical inactivity is a risk factor comparable to smoking! That’s how unhealthy it is for our body. Especially now that it is summer, go out there and enjoy the sunshine and work your body!

Dark Knight Shooting Updated

James Holmes, the suspect of the mass murder of the theatre incident was identified and more information has been revealed.

After FBI searched James Holmes’ home, they found a computer, cellphone, homemade explosives as well as a Batman mask. In this sensitive and viral tragedy, a lot of government officials are not authorized to comment, but officials indicated that the computer would be very helpful in terms of determining how long the suspect had been planning the mass murder, as well as other details. When the FBI searched his apartment, there were also 10 gallons of gasoline. It is very likely that it was intended to serve as an catalyst to any fire, in the event of explosions. Police stated that, by booby-trapping his apartment, he intended to kill the first person who enters, and it was very likely that it would be a police officer, “This apartment was designed to kill.”

James Holmes attended the University of Colorado and excelled academically. He graduated with a high Honours in Bachelor of science degree in neuroscience from the University of California-Riverside. The University of Colorado is now assisting government authorities to determine whether Holmes used his position as a graduate student to order materials used in the deadly booby traps at his apartment. According to University of Colorado, Holmes was a quiet and intellectually gifted neuroscience student.
Six months before the shooting, Holmes legally bought 6,000 rounds of ammunition, an AR 15 assault rifle, a shotgun, and two 40-caliber Glock handguns. In the mass murder, Holmes used a rifle, shotgun, and one of the handguns. While he was in the process of buying ammunitions and weapons, he was also in the process of dropping out the University of Colorado’s graduate science program in Aurora. The University of Colorado School of Medicine declined to comment on why Holmes left the program.

Holmes has posted his resume on Monster.com, and he listed himself as an “aspiring scientist”, and was looking for a position as a laboratory technician.

The people around Holmes was very surprised to see Holmes as a suspect in the mass murder case.
Porsche Parkman, a high school classmate with Holmes’ younger sister, “He was really talented, really smart.”
“He was so nice and his family was always there for him. Nothing seemed wrong.”

The FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit is now trying to determine a motive behind the mass murder, but indicated that Holmes have very little online presence, and does not have social media accounts such as Twitter, and Facebook. Despite having no social media accounts, Holmes has a Adult FriendFinder account, the image is right below.

What could’ve possibly gone wrong? From a very talented student, studying in University of Colorado School of Medicine, and from a educated family, with good neighbours, what caused him to ruin it all?
Stay tuned, as his motive behind the mass murder clears away.

Facebook Email Notifications May Contain Malware

Who still checks Facebook email notification these days? I believe most of us check our notifications on Facebook itself. But for those who still do check Facebook email notifications, beware of malware!

According to a security expert, “Be careful about opening emails that claim you have been tagged in a Facebook photo, because they may actually be malware”

A security blog analyzed the malware threat on Wednesday. The blog notes that the email address would misspell “Facebook” as “Facebook.”

There are several ways to avoid the malware. Certainly, the most safest way would be to just check Facebook notifications on the site itself. You can also prevent it out hovering your mouse over the link, and you would see that it will link you to some other websites, rather than Facebook.
