The case caused a significant uproar, and the news went viral, roughly about a month ago.

As usual with things, people, and news that went viral, weeks later it will eventually be resilient.

But now, a noteworthy discussion came up, what if the whole scenario was reversed? The rest is left to your imaginations…, but let us know!

Reversed

The man who killed him was Hispanic. Just an FYI.

Unfortunately the young adult is dead. I feel bad for his parents. He is a young adult, not a child though. Lesson learned, if you wear a hoody around, you might get shot. They scare law abiding citizens especially if the hoody is worn by a black person. If you want to look and act like a gang member, many of which wear hoody’s and deal drugs and are ruining our cities, don’t complain when you get shot by armed citizens that are doing what is needed in our inner-cities. The police are only protecting gangs from each other and can’t be around to protect us all of the times. If you wear a hoody and act like a gangster you might consider selling it and acting like a lawful citizen,(better yet, stop acting like a gangster and be a law abiding citizen) else get a bullet thrown at you from time to time.

    Zimmerman is innocent.

    My condolences to the family.

      very interesting perspective.

    • Thomas W. Richard says:

A big stretch about a hoody. However, this gated community had a neighborhood watch. And what good is it if a person walking in the neighborhood late at night is not stopped and questioned.

No one will ever know exactly what happened. But a big deal is being made about the fact that Zimmerman should have stayed in the car, but if he had, this unidentified person, could have simply walked out of his sight and something bad could have happened under different circumstances.

      • Morgan Dudley says:

@ Thomas ~ but it didn’t! you can’t go on “what ifs” and YES Zimmerman should have stayed in the car and he was told by the authorities. It is a big deal, because had he stayed in his car, the Martin’s would still have their son.

      • Theron Edge says:

WHAT DO U MEAN SOMETHING BAD COULD HAVE HAPPEN UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSANCES. THAT YOUNG MAN IS DEAD BECAUSE OF ZIMMERMAN, AND HE WAS OT ON WATCH REMEMBER HE WAS COMING FROM THE STORE?

    • brent hostrom says:

Thats the most stereotypical nonsense i ever heard someone utter…look at zuckerberg (face book entrepreneur) so he should get shot to? Because he infamous for wearing a hoody. you need to get out of the 60s and accept reality for what it really it is.

    • mr smith says:

didn’t know wearing a hoodie in the rain was a crime

    • george burwell says:

I respect your comment. however for the sake of argument, would it be the same if George Zimmerman was black man and Trayvon Martin was a white kid walking around with a hoodie on? Just wondering.

    • Morgan Dudley says:

@Accept reality! Are you just an idiot or just acting like one? Wearing a hoody does NOT mean you are in a gang. Like others and especially Zimmerman, are profiling. Can you explain how Travon was acting like a gang member by simply walking through a community where HIS family lived? What right Zimmerman had was to stay in his vehicle like the police told him. Zimmerman will get what’s coming to him ~ count on it!

    • Nathaniel Calhoun says:

I just don’t get this crap. Just because he had a hoody on automaticly he was considered trying to be a ganster, is rediculous. Most school atheletic programs give hoodies to the students as part of their uniform. Since when is walking home with a hoody on in the rain not considered to be a law abiding citizen? He shot that boy because he knew he could because of where he is at and people like him are protected in the south.

  3. DERRYL CHALK says:

ALLAH BLESS THE SOUL OF MY BLACK BROTHER MR. TRAVON MARTIN, GEORGE ZIMMERMAN GO TO HELL YOU WHITE DEVIL.

    • Chill says:

      Darryl,

Please, lets try to keep the racism to a minimum. Whenever a black dude kills a hispanic man in self defense, I don’t start dropping the “N” word on posts like this. Sounds like you’re part of the problem by helping to keep racism alive.

I don’t care if you respond. It will probably be another racist remark anyway.

    • Dee says:

Your black brother was stoned when he jumped Mr. Zimmerman and started beating him. It is time all people take responsiblity for their actions – you attack someone, they might have a gun and kill you. I fire no warning shots. It’s called SELF defense – get it?

      • contributeone says:

THC was found in the autopsy, but the amount of it was very insignificant.
Let’s stay away from all the assumptions of what “might have” happened. It won’t be long until we actually know what exactly happened.
“This kind of level can be seen days after somebody smokes,” “If it comes up in the case, I would be surprised. It wouldn’t benefit the defense, it wouldn’t benefit the prosecution, and if the defense tried to bring it up, the judge would keep it out.”

  4. Accept Reality says:

Everything happens for a reason. Believe in the devil if you wish. I believe in God and whatever happened was in the plan. If Zimmerman is punished on earth that doesn’t change what I feel. Hoody’s are for criminals or wantabees. This isn’t a black or white thing.

    In fact, I’m black.

first of all im not making any assumptions but just use a little common sense…we cant be judged or identified as a criminal by the attire we choose to wear…hoddies are sold in almost all department stores…my son is five and i buy him pull over hoodies from old navy all the time…so if my son wears his hoodie to school he is labeled as a thug or gangster (hell no) why we as people make so many excuses for reckless acts that are made…and if zimmerman was a police officer i could at least give him the smallest amount of duty to approach someone suspicious but if anyone black whit japanese or any race that is a neighborhood watchman and they approach me cause im walking minding my own business with my hoodie on, then there is gonna be conflict….moral of the story we as people should play our role…if the 911 dispatch said not to follow trayvon then he shouldnt have…so i guess trayvon choosing to wear a hoodie got him killed but he will rest in heaven….and zimmerman choosing to follow trayvon is gonna get him life in prison……(common sense) stand for whats right its 2012 if yhou still judge by the color of skin then i pray for you …….its not fair………*my opinion*

Its sad when any life is lost, not just a child who happened to be a minorty. Lets be very clear here. It was wrong to blow this case up with Racism charges in the first place when considering the facts. The facts are that Two minorities were involved in this matter. Not just one. Despite what Jessie Jackson and his MSNBC Co Hart said or did to fan the flames of racism in this situation. And they were wrong to incite racism nation wide in this case when not one but TWO minorites were involved here. The black people in the US do not own a monopoly on the minority label. Lets call it like it is here and be fair. Zimmerman has the right to a fair trial….He has the right to prove his innocence. Let the system work and everyone present their case. The TM family needs your prayers now not hateful rhetoric. Jessie Jackson should be ashamed of himself for his actions here in trying to divide this country.

  8. Morgan Dudley says:

@Pat Roberts ~ you don’t really mean “let the system work” when it appears that our system is what’s messed up in the beginning. Call it what it is, Zimmerman was out right WRONG, he had NO right to take the law in his own hands especially because he was told by the police to stay in his car. He had issues from the very beginning because he didn’t make the police force so he played the roll anyway. He is and always will be guilty in many of our eyes.
